Our Beginning…

Betterment Soap Company began out of a lemon – literally.  When the Covid pandemic started in March 2020, Edwin Serrano, owner of Betterment Soap Company’s sister company, Betterment Cleaning Services, was receiving calls from his cleaning customers requesting sanitizing products as stores were running out of inventories as quickly as they came in.  Edwin, seeing a need, took matters into his own hands and created a sanitizing product that he embedded into the cleaning solution products he had previous created for the cleaning company so that residential and commercial properties could be sanitized in the most frequently touched areas at the same time that they were wiped down – without additional investment required from the customer.  The pandemic was already creating financial challenges for many of his customers and for Edwin, it was more important to help their customers than to focus on profit. 

Delivering his newly created sanitizing solution and dropping it off on his customers’ doorsteps, Edwin began delivering as many as he could each week.  With the feedback he was hearing from his customers about how much they were loving the friendly and less abrasive cleaning products he had created, Edwin realized he wanted to make quality products available for all.  Sharing the thought with his wife, Diana, they realized that although they were new in the entrepreneur arena, they saw an opportunity to create quality products that could be affordable to many.  For them, this involved creating natural products at the lowest investment possible without sacrificing quality or benefits.  With their passion to serve as many as possible, they even saw an opportunity to give back even if it was in humble ways from their natural products.  Thus, Betterment Soap Company was created to bring quality natural products accessible to as many audiences as possible – while giving back in humble ways to organizations and individuals that were spreading kindness and making the world a better place.
